Two More Quest Apartment Building Roofs Waterproofed

Rhino Linings Divider

Two new Quest Apartment Buildings, Como and Ascot WA, had a requirement for waterproof membranes for the building rooftops. Rhino Linings TUFF STUFF was specified for the project after being previously successfully used on the Quest building completed in Joondalup. Australian Resin Coatings have been the applicator of choice on all three projects.

The selection of the correct waterproofing membrane has to be carefully considered and this particularly necessary with apartment buildings as the potential inconvenience and cost of repairs in the event of a failure can be significant.

The substrate preparation for this project included priming with RhinoPrime® SP150 and then 3mm DFT (dry film thickness) of Rhino Linings TUFF STUFF® to provide a long term waterproofing solution for the building. The logistics of this application were quite challenging as being typical of a construction site there were many other trades all working at the same time and careful planning had to be considered to ensure the desired outcome was achieved on time without disruption to other trades.

The Como location application was approximately 850m2 and the Ascot location approximately 950m2 plus the two fire water storage tanks were also completed at this location.
